Japanese Maple Leaf Marquetry Cabinet

Size:
34″ high by 16″ deep by 42″ wide
Materials:
Spalted Maple, Mahogany, Curly Eucalyptus, Madrone, Cherry, Walnut Burl and misc marquetry woods
Description:
A small two door cabinet in Honduran Mahogany and Spalted Maple with marquetry imagery of Japanese Maple Leaves and branches flowing across the front and top of the cabinet.  The interior is veneered in striking Curly Eucalyptus and the doors have integrated handles carved from Mahogany.  The cabinet is finished with satin Conversion Varnish and Lacquer.

This is the first cabinet I built in a new style of marquetry work that focuses on fall colors and different leaf patterns.   I have since done a number of side tables using the Japanese Maple leaf marquetry pattern.  My next pieces  incorporate White Oak Leaves and Acorns in the marquetry images.
