Dogwood Marquetry Table

Size:
32″ long by 14″ wide by 30″ high
Materials:
Mahogany, Walnut Burl, Holly, Poplar, and Rosewood
Description:
This contemporary Mahogany side table with subtle marquetry imagery of White Dogwood flowers and branches flowing across four panels of Walnut Burl veneer was my first marquetry piece using Dogwood flowers.   I have since used Dogwood flower marquetry to decorate quite a few other pieces including cabinets, tables, mirrors, and even one  hanging picture. The table is finished with Satin Conversion Varnish and has Holly stringing surrounding all the marquetry panels.  The marquetry woods are Holly, Rosewood and dyed Poplar and the marquetry was cut using the traditional Boulle technique.
